Black Halloween candle holders made from wine bottles — a classic look, reusable, and easy to make! Happy Hallowe’en Wine Lovers!
To make your Halloween wine bottle candle holders, follow these 6 easy steps:
Step 1: Shop for Wine Bottles & Supplies
Your Halloween shopping list:
- 1 case of empty wine bottles
- 12 black and/or orange tapered candles
- black finish chalk paint
- 2 paint brushes (or more if this is a group project)
Step 2: Remove Labels from Wine Bottles
Remove the wine labels from bottles. Not sure how to remove the labels from bottles? Here are a few easy way to get the labels off from WikiHow.
Step 3: Protect Before You Paint those Bottles
Lay down a painting drop cloth or a bunch of newspaper to prevent drippage on your floors or counters. Amount of protection you need depends on your level of intoxication. You’ll have to figure that out on your own — we suggest deciding how much you need before Step 1, then double that amount.
Step 4: Paint More Halloween Bottles
Grab a bottle and evenly apply chalkpaint all over bottle. Please follow the instructions included with the paint on how to paint.
Step 5: Dry The Bottles
It’s time to drink some water while paint drys. You will want to follow the instructions included with the paint for drying duration.
Step 6: Happy Halloween Winos!
Celebrate the lighting of the halloween candles by pouring a glass of wine. Try not to burn yourself 😉
