The serving temperature of wine can make a great difference. The temperature of the wine has an effect on the aromatics. A temperature that is too cold will reduce the aromatics; and if it’s too warm it will release the aromatics too quickly. One way or another you will not be experiencing the finest of the wine.
A refrigerator will usually operate at approximately 34°F to 40°F (or 1°C to 4°C). This range is too cold for any wine. Room temperature is typically between 68°F/20°C and 79°F/26°C, which is too warm for red or white wine to be enjoyed properly.
